PROJECTIntroduction [Biosketch]
- Dr. Dipankar Bhanja is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar. Before joining NIT Silchar, he also served as a faculty member at Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College, Durgapur, and Dumkal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Murshidabad. He received his BE degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College (University of North Bengal) and M.E. and PhD from Jadavpur University. He has more than 23 years of teaching and research experience. His current research areas include Heat Transfer, Porous fin, Constructal design, Bioheat transfer, Solar energy, Optimization, Thermal protective clothing, Phase change materials, etc. He has published more than 100 research papers to date in various refereed national/international journals and conferences. Under his supervision, seven (7) PhD scholars and twenty one (21) PG students completed their research work, and six PhD research scholars are now working under his supervision.
