Introduction [Biosketch]

  • My present interests are in the historical methods of studying literature, cultures of orality, mnemonic storytelling, political thought in modern India, colonialism and decolonisation, and sport studies, specifically football as well as fandom.
  • Some of my academic papers have been published in The Oral History Review (Taylor & Francis, 2025), Memory Studies in India (Brill, 2025), Economic & Political Weekly (EPW, 2024), The Long History of Partition in Bengal (Routledge, 2024), Quarterly Review of Film and Video (Taylor & Francis, 2023), Environment, Climate Change and Migration (Routledge, 2023), Narrative Culture (Wayne State University Press, 2022), and Studies in People's History (SAGE, 2021).
  • At present, I am the Joint Secretary of the Oral History Association of India and one of the Asian Representatives in the International Oral History Association.
