Introduction [Biosketch]

  • Dr. Subhasis Panda is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at NIT Silchar. He has been serving in this capacity since November 2014. Dr. Panda earned his Ph.D. in Physics from IIT Kharagpur in 2013, following an M.Sc. in Physics from the same institution in 2008. His research interests encompass a range of theoretical and computational physics topics, including DFT study of materials, Perturbation method, Eigenvalue problems, non-Hermitian systems, and MCDM problem in generalised fuzzy environments. He has contributed to 16 peer-reviewed scientific papers. Dr. Panda has supervised one Ph.D. scholar and 20 M.Sc. project students. He is currently guiding three Ph.D. students. He is passionate about teaching and has handled courses across various levels, including Physics theory and laboratory at the UG level and ED I, QM II, MP, AMP, ED II & ComPhy Lab at the PG/PhD level.

  • DFT study of material for optoelectronic applications, Non-Hermitian systems, Boundary perturbation theory & eigenvalue problems and Distance based MCDM problem in generalized fuzzy environments
