PROJECTSIntroduction [Biosketch]
- Dr. Samuel Lalthazuala Rokhum is presently an Associate Professor at the NIT Silchar. He did his BSc (Physics, Chemistry, Maths, with Chemistry Major) from Sankardev College under North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong and further completed MSc (Chemistry) from the same university. He obtained his PhD from the Department of Chemistry, North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong under the supervision of Prof. Ghanashyam Bez. He did a short postdoctoral (DBT-RA) under the guidance of Prof. Ganesh Pandey at Centre of BioMedical Research (CBMR), Lucknow, UP. He further did a postdoctoral with Prof. Andrew EH Wheatley, at the Department of Chemistry, Cambridge University, UK during 2019-21. His research interest includes organic chemistry, material science, renewable energy, and heterogeneous catalysis. Dr. Samuel Rokhum has published more than 150 research papers and 21 book chapters. He has served as an Academic Editor of the International Journal of Energy Research (Wiley), Journal of Nanotechnology. Elsevier and Stanford University have enlisted him in the 'World Top 2% Scientist 2024'. He has supervised five PhD scholars.
