- Dr. Prashanth J. is an Assistant Professor at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar, specializing in Coastal Engineering, Concrete Technology, and the application of soft computing in Civil Engineering. He holds a PhD in Coastal Engineering (2014) and an MTech in Marine Structures (2010) from NIT Karnataka. His research contributions include numerous publications in international and national journals, book chapters, and patents in wastewater treatment and adsorption systems. He has led sponsored projects, including hydrokinetic turbine development and entrepreneurship initiatives. Additionally, he has played a key role in organizing international conferences, serving as a reviewer for reputed journals, and guiding undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD research.
