DOCTORAL STUDENTSIntroduction [Biosketch]
- Dr. Avijit Das is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar, Assam, since 2023. Prior to this, he held the same position at the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Raichur, Karnataka. He earned his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati under the supervision of Prof. S. Natesan, and subsequently completed a postdoctoral fellowship at IIT Bombay under the mentorship of Prof. Neela Nataraj. Dr. Das's research interests lie broadly in Numerical Analysis and Differential Equations, with a particular focus on the development and application of various Finite Element Methods (FEMs) for solving differential equations.
